Michelle Trostler is an avid genetic genealogist and founder of Identify Family. Michelle attended and spoke at both of the Institute for Genetic Genealogy’s 2016, 2017 and 2018 conferences. Michelle honed her skills at the Council for the Advancement of Forensic Genealogy’s Advanced DNA Practicum in both 2015 and 2016 as well as the Advanced Genetic Genealogy course at the Genealogical Research Institute, Pittsburgh in 2018. All of these courses were taught by her mentor, CeCe Moore. Michelle has also attended many other genealogical conferences, staying up to date on the latest tools and information relevant to genetic genealogy.
Michelle holds a BA in Sociology from UC San Diego and an MA in Sociology from USC. Michelle is a firm believer that a human being has the fundamental right to know their biological origins. She is also willing to take law enforcement cases.
