Michelle Trostler is an avid genetic genealogist and founder of Identify Family. Michelle was a speaker at the Institute for Genetic Genealogy’s 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2020 conferences. Michelle honed her skills at the Council for the Advancement of Forensic Genealogy’s Advanced DNA Practicum in both 2015 and 2016 as well as the Advanced Genetic Genealogy course at the Genealogical Research Institute, Pittsburgh in 2018. All of these courses were taught by CeCe Moore, an extraordinarily bright star in the genetic genealogy community. Michelle has also attended many other genealogical conferences and spoken to genealogical societies across Southern California.

Michelle holds a BA in Sociology from UC San Diego and an MA in Sociology from USC. Michelle is a firm believer that a human being has the fundamental right to know their biological origins. She is also willing to work law enforcement cases.
